Link Building

Other sites vouching for yours is still one of the strongest signals Google has. In a market this small the opportunity is real and the shortcuts are obvious, which is why we take neither.

Why it matters

What it costs you to leave this alone.

Ethiopian sites are linked to sparsely, so the bar to compete is lower here than almost anywhere — a handful of real links can move a page that has been stuck for years. It also means the shortcuts are tempting, and a bought link network is the fastest way to lose a domain you have spent years building.

What you actually get

Deliverables, not activities.

01

Placement on Ethiopian directories, associations and chambers that carry genuine authority in your sector.

02

Digital PR: stories the local press will actually run, pitched to named journalists rather than blasted.

03

Partner and supplier links — the ones you have already earned commercially and never claimed.

04

A monthly record of every link gained, with the page it sits on so you can verify it yourself.

How it runs

What happens, and when.

Month one — the audit

What already points at you, what points at the businesses ahead of you, and which of those sources are reachable. This alone usually surfaces links you could claim this week.

Month one — the assets

Links are earned by something worth linking to. Usually that is data nobody else has about this market, which is the one thing we are unusually well placed to produce.

Monthly — outreach

Named people, specific pitches, no templates. Volume is low and acceptance is high, which is the correct trade in a market where everyone knows everyone.

Monthly — the record

Every link, its page, and what it changed. Links that vanish are chased; links that never existed are never claimed.

Scope

What this does not include.

Naming the edges is what makes the rest credible. If you need something on this list, we will say so rather than sell it badly.

  • Buying links, guest post networks and private blog networks. They work until a core update, and then they cost you the domain.
  • Reciprocal link schemes with unrelated businesses. Google has understood these for well over a decade.
  • Foreign links bought in bulk. A link from an unrelated site in another market does nothing for an Ethiopian search.

Questions

What people ask before they buy this.

How many links will I get a month?

Usually between two and six. Anyone promising thirty is buying them, and you would be paying for the privilege of taking on the risk.

Is link building risky?

Earned links are not. Bought links are, and the penalty lands on your domain rather than on the agency that sold them. That is the whole reason we scope this the way we do.

Are there even enough Ethiopian sites to link from?

Fewer than in a large market, which cuts both ways: the opportunity is smaller and so is the competition. A page here can rank on a link count that would be invisible in Kenya or the UAE.

Can you get me links from international sites?

Where they are genuinely relevant, yes — trade bodies and export directories matter for import-export especially. We do not buy foreign links to inflate a number.
